It’s a first stab at putting the goalsoul range over to iDevices and learning Objective C.  I’t s been surprisingly easy, check out all the zoom in on the designs etc…  Next stage we will improve the iPad layout, enable rotation and add gallery and news section.  Unfortunately this will have to wait a while as things are very busy.

But this is posted mostly to add events in the authoring system and pull them back on the app.

Just about to create an online mobile app for science learning centre, I’m thinking of using WP as a back end for authoring the content and allowing user contents.

This is just a test post on how I can separate the content in sections and  use json to read it all in the app.

I also need to see if I can make events.

Right, in the search for global fame for goalsoul, the next move has to be television! Having now been featured in various local publications, national press and bigest selling magasine in the field, TV exposure has to be it. Keep your eyes and ears wide open peeps, we’re coming…

It doesn’t really give you an obvious answers on what to do but highlights some problems with the current eduction system.

It’s amazing what can be done when you are using the right tools these days.
So the brief for the job was: design a shop website, with online payment, a blog, a photo galley, e-letter signup and email marketing system, link up to facebook and twitter and of course, all for a few quids.
In the past I would have said to the client to go away and leave me alone to do some proper paid work, but I have now got my arsenal of hosted services nicely sorted and I did it all in just 4 hours.
Ok this doesn’t include design and layout coding but it’s still bloody awesome, and amazingly enough it was quite a breeze.

I love using webservices to get stuff in or out of a website and I regularly pull stuff from flikr & twitter and other culpits. I am currently developing a system for a firm of solicitors to collect road trafic accident data and feed the result to an insurers’ portal for a fast track compensation claim.
Now imagine a 14 pages form, collecting over 350 fileds of data with all sort of logic etc.
No problem.
Done nicely in a friendly user interface.
Imagine further, all this has to be fed to a webservice and the result you get is either pass or fail.
Not a clue more.
So here I am now going through each fields individually, checking formatting and logic relationship with other fields and submit, check, update, submit, next field….
Only 200 more fields to go

Can you believe it, the old team has been reunited. The Flash man, Mr Ant Pearson if you please, managed to bag us a new bit of work together after a break of a few years. So we will buiding the new écoute Media Ltd website over the next few weeks. Bring on good times.

Every thing happens at the same time, so not only do I have to put up with moving office, I have loads of work to do… and as always it always has to be done NOW.

Can’t moan though, it’s great stuff, goalsoul new website and new shirts, personal injuries portal, GP online system, Bollywood events shop.

Ok so I’m a really interesting man with very strong views of the world around me and you will all listen to me, that’s an order.

This is going to be bigger than Twitter and facebook put together.
